A Love Letter from Camille & Julien
Bonjour and bienvenue!
We're Camille and Julien – two Parisians, soulmates, and hopeless romantics when it comes to our city. Paris isn't justthe place where we live; it's the backdrop of our everyday love story. It's where we first kissed on a rainy evening near the Seine, where we argue over the best Tarte Tatin, and where wesneak away to sip wine in hidden courtyards that most touristswalk right past without noticing. It's where we feel alive, againand again.
We've spent years traveling across the globe – from sunrisehikes in Patagonia to street food feasts in Seoul, from the dusty chaos of Marrakech to the stillness of Iceland's glaciers. And in every place, as beautiful as it was, we always foundourselves searching for one thing: a truly local voice. Not a mass-produced guidebook or a list of "top 10" attractions-but a warm hand, a human voice, someone to say: Come, let me show you what this place really means to me.
That voice was so often absent. And so, when we return home– always, always back to Paris – we decided to be that voicefor you. This guide is our personal map of memories, flavors, and quiet discoveries. We want to take you far beyond the tourist trail and show you the city as we live it and breathe it. We'll show you where to find the flakiest, most buttery croissant at a boulangerie where only locals queue. We'll guide you throughalleyways that open into gardens so peaceful they feel like secrets. We'll share the cafés where the baristas know ournames, the jazz spots where we've danced under fairy lights, and the bookstores that smell like history and rain.
We believe that Paris isn't just something to be seen; it's something to be felt. It's not only in the grand boulevards or glittering monuments – it's in the clink of glasses on a terraceat golden hour, in the lazy Sunday strolls along the Canal Saint-Martin, and in the whispered conversations drifting fromapartment windows.
This guide is not exhaustive, and it is not meant to be. It ispersonal, it is poetic, it is honest. It is the version of Paris weshare with our closest friends and now, with you.
So take your time. Walk slowly. Get lost. Taste everything. And let this city surprise you as it always surprises us. With open hearts, Camille & Julien
